18.12.2011» Ronaldo: "This hat-trick is also meant to shut up many people"
Ever since the "Clasico" ended, Cristiano Ronaldo had to cope and deal with critics coming from many different areas of the game. After scoring the hat-trick against Sevilla, the Portuguese player granted a flash-interview and confessed that he's already used to be the target of this kind of criticism. Ronaldo also noted that last night's performance and the 3 goals he scored in the Sánchez Pizjuan, will be good to shut up those persons who's only concern has been to defame his name.
Cristiano Ronaldo post-match flash interview:
Instants after the end of the match between Sevilla and Real Madrid, and while Cristiano Ronaldo was still standing on the pitch, he got approached by a Spanish reporter from a TV network called "La Sexta". The female journalist went straight to business as she was keen to stress that Cristiano Ronaldo had just surpassed Juanito 85 goals mark with this new hat-trick and that this has been a bad day for all his critics. CR7 had the answer on the tip of his tongue.
Cristiano Ronaldo: "This is meant to shut up those who keep criticizing me. This is something I'm already used to live with, so it's fine. I keep very focused with my team's objectives and tonight we played well, in a very tough match and we're all very happy with the outcome", outlined Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo: "I don't care about what others talk about me. I just worry about doing my job and I believe to be doing it well. Those who insist on talking and criticizing me, probably don't understand football at all. I'm very happy with our team's performance and we're all very motivated to keep playing, despite La Liga is about to stop for a while. We're also delighted with this win, because it will allow us to go through Christmas with a 3 points lead in the league, so our objective is accomplished", remarked the Portuguese and Real Madrid striker, just before heading back to the locker rooms.
