No one knows the future, but if there's ever been a moment in time where Cristiano Ronaldo could actually step into the horse racing business, that moment is now. And there's even a horse named after him already...
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest names the world has ever known. Even those who do not like football will know of CR7. He is the most followed person on Instagram, after all. Therefore, it's perhaps no surprise that he has been used as inspiration. Where that source of inspiration has been used, though, is perhaps a little more surprising. News of a horse's name has been circulating recently, with it being called CRSeven. This begs the question: Could the man known as CR7 enter the world of horse racing and follow some of his former teammates and professionals into the sport?
Cristiano Ronaldo - Full throttle in 2024:
Footballers are known to have interests outside of their main sport. They need to, given that they will often retire in their mid-30s. Of course, Ronaldo is different to many of his former colleagues, as he is approaching forty and doesn’t look like giving up anytime soon.
Nonetheless, he might consider horse racing a potential investment opportunity. Sir Alex Ferguson, whom we know he has a very close connection with, Harry Redknapp, Michael Owen, and others all have keen interests in the sport. He could consider reaching out to these individuals for guidance. They may give him insights into what goes into finding a horse, what to look out for, and which ones could be among the very best.
They might also be able to provide him with some information on the betting lingo used. As a popular sport for bettors, CR7 would be best advised to learn certain terms and wagers. If he knows how to work out a lucky 15 bet or any other complex wagers, it could enhance ownership or investment in horse racing.
Cristiano Ronaldo may look to buy into the sport because of his connection to the Middle East. He lives there now, having joined Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. If he wishes to stay in the country once his career comes to an end, it could be a way for him to do so.
The region has become a top location for horse racing. It hosts several top events regularly, and a top team is also headquartered there: Godolphin. If he decides to stay in the Middle East and get involved, it could further enhance people's love for the sport. It's growing globally with viewers, with many engaging by placing bets on the meets held in the country. As mentioned, it's a hugely popular activity that compliments the sport for many. If you're left wondering what does SP mean in horse racing, then you might want to learn before getting involved in the betting, as this can provide a good platform from which to start.
It's an expanding market that can continue to grow. If Ronaldo becomes involved, it wouldn't be a surprise if it were to grow significantly more.
While we're yet to see Crseven run, perhaps we’ll see a CR7-owned horse run at some point.
As stated, there are various things that he would need to know if Cristiano Ronaldo ever gets involved in horse racing.
If he were to examine investment and ownership, he would need to understand how horses are evaluated and what makes one great. He would need to identify certain aspects or at least have a team in place to help him do this correctly.
