Every football fan in the world is eagerly waiting for the upcoming EURO 2024 tournament. One of the most iconic players we'll see in German soil this summer will surely be Cristiano Ronaldo, as he looks to wrap his second European title for his nation...
This summer, Cristiano Ronaldo will gear up for his record by attending his sixth European Championships with the Portuguese National Team. He first played in the tournament as a teenager way back at Euro 2004 - a tournament that his country hosted and reached the final in - and he hasn't missed one in the two decades since. However, this summer, at the age of 39, the great man will venture onto the continental stage for perhaps the final time.
Cristiano Ronaldo - EURO 2024:
Ronaldo already has a bucketload of the tournament's records under his belt. He's the top scorer in European Championships history with 14 goals to his name. He has also played more matches and more minutes in the competition than anyone else in history. And finally, of course, he has won the tournament as well. That came back at Euro 2016 when he led Portugal to their first-ever major tournament victory, defeating France in the final in Paris.

After their stellar performances in qualifying, Paddy Power has made Portugal a genuine contender, pricing them at 15/2 and positioning them in fifth place behind England, France, Germany, and Spain. But it isn't just the tournament winner that you can bet on with the Irish giant. They have a summer of promotions planned stacked with free bets on the Euros, as well as providing the perfect way to take a break from the shed load of on-pitch action with a wide array of table games. The likes of online roulette and blackjack provide the perfect opportunity to unwind after the exhilarating stream of heavyweight clashes.
This summer, Ronaldo heads to Germany and the Euros for perhaps the final time. But who will he face off against on the road to Berlin?
Three years ago, at the postponed Euro 2020 tournament, the Portuguese were drawn into the group of death alongside Germany and France. They ultimately progressed as one of the best placed third place teams however, this year, they have a much friendlier group. They have been drawn into Group F, putting them against Turkey, the Czech Republic, and tournament debutants Georgia, and they are heavily favoured to top the group.
The sternest challenge could perhaps come in the form of the Turks. Spurred on by a disastrous campaign in 2021. they will be out to prove that they have what it takes to be a genuine contender. Many thought that they were one of the dark horses three years ago, but they ended up finishing rock bottom of their group after losing all three games.
This time around, they topped their difficult-looking qualifying group ahead of Croatia, Wales and an upstart Armenia side. They will be aiming to progress to the knockout stages as well.
While Turkey faltered at the previous tournament, the Czechs most certainly did not. They progressed to the knockout stages before stunning the heavily favoured Netherlands in the second round thanks to goals from Tomas Holes and Patrik Schick. They will be aiming to build on that momentum. The Georgians meanwhile are just happy to be competing, but with Napoli ace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in their lineup, they may well turn a few heads.
