03.09.2021 » Ronaldo: "I am so happy to be back home!"

Cristiano Ronaldo happy to return to Manchester United

After breaking another international record earlier this week, Cristiano Ronaldo confessed he is excited with his return to Manchester and that he can't wait to start working with his new teammates...

As we all wait for the return of the Premier League and for Cristiano's debut with Manchester United, the Portuguese star already addressed the fans in a short interview granted the club's official website. He did not hide his happiness for returning to a club he holds in great esteem, as United is like a second home for him... The Red Devils's next game will be against Newcastle on September 11 and there are high expectations that Ronaldo could be given some playing time in that game, as Indian's betting on futbol continues rising and bookies will be very active adjusting the odds. Ronaldo has also been released from the Portuguese National Team following a suspension in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, due to the yellow card accumulation rule.

Cristiano Ronaldo - I am happy to be back home:

A special club for Ronaldo...

Cristiano Ronaldo: «Manchester United has always had a special heart in my heart and I got very happy with the amount of messages I received since my transfer was announced. I really can't wait to play again at Old Trafford and to do it in front of the fans! I'm very excited to join the team after this international break I hope we can find the route to success and to the trophies everyone dreams about!», stated the Portuguese forward, who is about to begin his second journey as a Manchester United player.

It's been twelve long years since Ronaldo played the last time for Manchester United and everyone is well aware that he transformed into a different type of player nowadays. To begin with, he's not 18 years anymore, so he may not dribble and run as much as he used to, but on the other hand, he is a lot more experienced and effective in front of goal...

In United, Ronaldo will also find a manager that knows him very well, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had the chance to share locker rooms with the Portuguese prodigy, between the years of 2003 and 2007.

Ronaldo and Solskjaer
are old friends!

Cristiano Ronaldo: «I have already talked with Solskjaer, of course! We will end up talking a lot more when I arrive to England and I don't doubt that I'll be fully committed to his ideas. We played 3 years together a long time ago, so I have a great relationship with him. However, I'm well aware that he is the coach now and I'm just a regular player. We have different positions in the team's structure, with different roles assigned to each other. Nevertheless, we know each other very well and I came to Manchester to help the team achieving their objectives. The coach can count on me for whatever he needs. I'll available for everything!», assured the 36-year old, as he answered some critics that were doubting Ronaldo's capability to adjust to a team like United at this stage of his career.

With Cavani, Martial and Rashford lining up as possible candidates to grab a starting spot in United's XI, few people believe that we'll be seeing Ronaldo on the bench in the majority of the team's games. He may not start in every single game, but we should still be able to see him in United's starting lineup in most games throughout the season...
