14.03.2021 » Cagliari 1-3 Juventus. Ronaldo heals his wounds with a hat-trick!
The best way to rebound from an elimination is to basically just win the next match. That was the mentality Juventus embraced in this weekend's game against Cagliari and it paid off as the Bianconeri brought home a 3-1 win and the 3 points they needed to keep chasing Inter Milan on the top of the Serie A table. The Italian giants lived up to the expectations and judging by the final scoreline, the odds offered by the OlyBet website prior to this game were as accurate as possible. Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been the main target of most critics after the derailment in the Champions League just a few days ago, responded to everyone as he usually does. The Portuguese star scored a hat-trick to deliver his team the victory and cemented his status as the Serie A top scorer, with 23 goals in the competition so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo had something to say...
Cristiano Ronaldo was the man of the match this Sunday evening at the Sardegna Arena and to justify this election he basically scored 3 goals in 33 minutes, leaving his opponent without reaction.
It has not been an easy week for the Italian champions, who once again, were shown the exit door in the Champions League during the knockout stages, this time against FC Porto. As expected, a lot of critics rained down on the club, from the manager to the players, with Cristiano Ronaldo drawing most of the media and critics attention...
The 35-year old showed everyone what champions are made of and quickly made sure his presence was felt on the pitch, scoring 3 goals in a short span of time and securing the win for his side. This was also Ronaldo's 57th hat-trick in his professional career, his 3rd in Italy. This season, the Portuguese forward already scored 30 goals in 33 appearances for the club.
A hat-trick to heal the wounds
The opening goal scored in the 10th minute of the first half, when Juan Cuadrado's corner met Cristiano Ronaldo's head in the heart of the box. The Portuguese star, determined to lift his team's morale, raised in the air and headed the ball into the back of the net to put Juventus in the lead. Such an early goal allowed the Bianconeri to settle down and approach this game with less pressure following the disappointment in mid-week...
As if scoring the first goal wasn't enough, Ronaldo found a way to put his team even more comfortable in the game when he managed to draw a penalty call on Cagliari's goalkeeper and easily beat him from the 12-yards spot. This was also Ronaldo's 8th goal from the penalty spot this season.
The hat-trick was completed still before the half-time break, as Ronaldo really was unstoppable and converted another chance in the 32nd minute of the game. The former Real Madrid forward took on a defender without any signs of hesitation, just to find enough space to fire a powerful shot with his left foot that the goalkeeper was unable to stop. Just like that, Ronaldo had scored a lightnin hat-trick and we still had the entire second half waiting to be played.
However, the story of the game had already been written in the first half and even though Cagliari did manage to reduce the lead by scoring one goal in the 61st minute, the fate of the game didn't change and Juventus bagged the 3 points.
