10.01.2021 » Juventus 3-1 Sassuolo. Ronaldo sealed the win with another goal!
Juventus repeated their result from last Wednesday's encounter against AC Milan, this time beating Sassuolo by 3-1 in Turin, with goals from Danilo, Aaron Ramsey and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the scoreline, it was a very difficult game for the Andrea Pirlo, who reached half-time with a goalless draw and several players injured. McKennie and Dybala had to leave the pitch in pain and forced their manager to waste a couple substitutions before the break, but the key moment of the game happened in the 45th minute of the first-half, when Pedro Obiang's tackle was sanctioned with a red card. In the second half, the hosts managed to create more scoring chances and eventually built their win and grabbed the 3 points.

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Sassuolo:
A calm start...
Juventus wrapped up another win in the Serie A tonight, their 4th in their last 5 games and their 3rd in a row. The opponent was not a docile one, as Sassuolo had 8 wins in 16 games and if they had won the clash this Sunday, they would have gone 4th in the table, above Juventus...
Pirlo showed his respect for Sassuolo in his starting lineup choices, by not resting any of his key players. Szczesny occupied his place in goal, with Danilo, Frabotta, Demiral and Bonucci forming the defensive line. The midfield keys were handed to Arthur, McKennie, Bentancur and Chiesa, leaving the attacking duties to Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The first half of the game was quite even, with both sides struggling to find spaces and create good scoring chances. Sassuolo was succeeding in frustrating Juventus by not letting the hosts get into dangerous positions going forward and if it wasn't for the red card shown to Obiang just before the half-time break, the story of tonight's game could have been totally different...
Danilo, Ramsey and Ronaldo scored a goal each...
The game definitely became easier for the Italian champions in the second half, as playing against 10 men allowed them to find a lot more spaces and create more trouble to their opponents. The opening goal was scored in the 50th minute, when Danilo struck a bouncing ball from just outside the box and beat Consigli for the first time on the night. The Brazilian's shot was pure class and he was happy to score his first goal of the season for the Bianconeri.
The visitors weren't ready to drop their arms just yet though and even though they had one man less on the pitch, Sassuolo reached the equalizer in the 58th minute, in a great attacking play. With some great passing in the last third of the pitch, Defrel managed to beat Bonucci while turning to goal and placed the ball into the far post, leaving very few chances to Szczesny to reach to it. 1-1 on the scoreboard and Juve had to charge forward once again...
Sassuolo held on the to draw until last 10 minutes of the game, but Juve's quick passing and numerical advantage on the pitch allowed them to score their second goal of the night in 82nd minute, when a perfect cross from Frabotta found Aaron Ramsey on the far post. The Welsh international only had to push the ball into an empty net and he didn't waste the chance to also score his first Serie A goal of the season.
The match wouldn't be over before Ronaldo scoring his trademark goal... The Portuguese striker never gave up chasing balls until the referee's final whistle and he got rewarded in the dying moments of the game, when he picked up a long pass from Danilo. The 35-year old didn't show any signs of fatigue running after the ball and had no trouble beating Consigli and making it 3-1 for Juventus. That was Ronaldo's 15th goal in the Serie A this season.
