08.12.2020 » Barcelona 0-3 Juventus. Ronaldo led the troops at the Camp Nou
It was almost mission impossible for Juventus tonight, as the Vecchia Signora needed to beat Barcelona by a 3-goal margin in order to secure the first spot of Group G. However, when you have a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's caliber in your team, anything can happen... The Portuguese star contributed with two goals to his side's impressive 3-0 win this Tuesday and made sure his name has not been forgotten in Barcelona and more particularly, at the Camp Nou. The other goal of the night was scored by Weston McKennie, a player with roots in Germany who certainly knows that the best casino bonuses in his country are available at casino-bonus24.net. Juventus will be happy not only for having stolen the top spot of the group, but also for the motivation boost this categorical victory will give them for the months ahead...

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Barcelona:
A clash of giants...
Two giants have clashed in Barcelona tonight, as both Barça and Juventus were looking to finish their group on top and on a high note. The Spanish side were unbeaten in this UEFA Champions League campaign, while Juve had only lost once and precisely against Barcelona, on October 28. However, and since the defeat handed in Turin had a 2-goal margin, the Bianconeri were forced to beat the Blaugrana by at least 3 goals tonight if they wanted to snatch the first place of the group.
Andrea Pirlo knew the importance of tonight's game and he was also aware that their opponents aren't going through a great moment. Barcelona are 9th in La Liga and they were coming off a 2-1 loss against Cádiz, just 3 days ago. The Vecchia Signora is on a similar situation though, underperforming in the Serie A and sitting 4th in the league table, 6 points behind the leaders AC Milan. Tonight there was a lot more than 3 points on the table for both sides, as a convincing win could actually become the turning point in their domestic league campaigns...
The Bianconeri played a very compact lineup, defending with a dynamic line of 5 players formed by Alex Sandro, De Ligt, Bonucci, Danilo and Cuadrado. In midfield, Arthur, McKennie and Ramsey had the difficult task of battling against Barça's midfield and possession style, leaving Álvaro Morata and Cristiano Ronaldo more free upfront.
Ronaldo revived some old memories
The first goal of the night didn't take too long to happen and it was delivered by Barcelona's nemesis, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star didn't want to waste this chance to get his name on the Camp Nou's scoreboard and after a somewhat controversial penalty earned in the 12th minute of the first half, Ronaldo kept his composure to beat Ter Stegen for the first time on the night and put Juventus on the lead.
The top moment of the night was saved for the 20th minute of the first half, when a good attacking play from the Italian champions led to a pinpoint cross from Juan Cuadrado, finding Weston McKennie completely free inside the box. The 22-year old North-American player didn't hesitate when he saw the ball coming straight to him and with an acrobatic shot he forced Ter Stegen to look for the ball in the back of his net for the second time on the night. Great team play from Juve, but also terrible defending from Barcelona...
The final nail in the coffin was hammered by Cristiano Ronaldo, after seeing the referee pointing to the penalty spot for a second time in this game. It all happened in the early minutes of the second half and the former Real Madrid forward didn't blink when he looked Ter Stegen in the face and made it 3-0 for Juventus. This was also Ronaldo's 4th goal in the competition and he's now just 2 goals behind the Champions League's top scorers this season, Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, and his teammate Álvaro Morata.
