08.11.2020 » Lazio 1-1 Juventus. No glory in Rome after a late equalizer!
Juventus had a difficult trip this weekend, as they traveled to the Italian capital city to face Lazio and attempt to extend their winning streak to 3 games in a row. Unfortunately for the Italian champions, the hosts were extremely determined to upset Juventus and managed to deny them the victory when Felipe Caicedo found the back of the net in the 95th minute of the game and set the final score in 1-1. Those who had money and bets on a draw must have been thrilled with today's result, as their sports betting payouts have definitely gone up. Cristiano Ronaldo had given the early lead to the Bianconeiri in the 15th minute of the first half, but, once again, the Vecchia Signora failed to hold on to the three points and conceded a frustrating equalizer. A win from AC Milan later tonight could allow the Rossoneri to enjoy 6-point gap to Juve...

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Lazio:
The COVID-19 controversy around Lazio team...
It's been a week filled with controversy for Lazio, as several players tested positive to the Corona-virus from samples collected in one laboratory, but then tested negative from other samples delivered to a different laboratory in the country. The team's striker, Ciro Immobile, was one of those cases and ended up being ruled out for today's clash against Juventus. In the meanwhile, a federal prosecutor is already investigating Lazio and the way the club is managing the positive cases...
It was obvious the home side was weakened by the absence of several important players who had positive tests to the COVID-19, but even so, they were decided to surprise Juventus and get something positive out of this situation, other than the corona-virus tests...
Pirlo made several changes in his team following the mid-week win in the Champions League against Ferencvaros, but Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't one of them and kept his starting spot, right next to Morata and Kulusevski. In goal, Szczesny was in charge of grabbing a clean sheet after 5 games conceding goals. The defense was formed by a 3-man block, as Demiral, Bonucci and Danilo teamed up to hold the fortress, while the champions' midfield was delivered to Bentancur and Rabiot in the center, with Cuadrado and Frabotta taking the wings. The attack had Kulusevski, Morata and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's goal was cancelled by a late equalizer from Caicedo...
The opening goal arrived very early in the game, when the Bianconeri and Juan Cuadrado managed to exploit a gap near the right corridor. The Colombian versatile player found himself unmarked and only needed a couple touche in the ball to find Cristiano Ronaldo in the right place to easily push in the ball into the back of the net, giving the visitors a very important lead. It was also Ronaldo's 6th goal in the Serie A this season and he's now only 1 goal behind Ibrahimovic on the league's topscorers standings.
For those who thought the most difficult part was done when Ronaldo gave Juventus the lead, time would simply prove them wrong. The visitors kept creating chances to extend the lead throughout the game, but for one reason or another, the ball didn't go in anymore...
Lazio was a bit short of options due to the infected players, but that didn't mean they wouldn't get their claws out, especially if we had an open game with less than a single goal difference. Basically, Juventus failed to seal the win and earn a comfortable lead when they had the chance and at the end, just as we've seen multiple times in the past, their opponent made them pay with a late equalizer. The hosts' hero was Felipe Caicedo, who got to score his 4th goal of the season, his 3rd in the league.
