23.07.2020 » Udinese 2-1 Juventus. The Bianconeri lose their first matchpoint
This Thursday evening Juventus were handed another upset in their quest to win the Serie A, as they visited the Dacia Arena and got defeated by Udinese by 2-1. It's clear to everyone that Maurizzio Sarri's men have been struggling way more than usual since the beginning of the month and tonight's result only confirmed that the Bianconeri are in desperate need of vacations and perhaps just relax on a gambling environment like the one provided by ikasinot.com. The problem, however, is that there are still 3 fixtures left in the Serie A and they still need to grab another win in order to wrap up their 9th consecutive league title in Italy. For now, Juve is holding on to a 6-point lead over second-placed Atalanta and they'll have another golden chance to secure the title next Sunday, when they host Sampdoria at the Allianz Stadium.

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Udinese:
A promising first-half
It was a reasonable first half for Juventus, as the Bianconeri dominated possession and created enough scoring chances to break the deadlock and go into half-time leading 1-0. The goalscorer was the Dutchman Matthijs De Ligt, who surprised everyone when he struck the ball from way outside the box to beat Juan Musso for the first time on the night. The 20-year old scored his 4th goal for Juventus this season, which was also his 4th goal in the Serie A.
The starting lineup for tonight's match against Udinese suffered several changes, especially in the champions' defense. The goalkeeper was Wojciech Szczesny, since that's the been the usual choice for Sarri whenever it's a league game. The four men in front of the Polish were Alex Sandro, De Ligt, Rugani and Danilo, as Bonucci was suspended for 1 game after having seen 10 yellow cards in the competition. In midfield, Rabiot, Ramsey and Bentancur tried to grant Juventus the dynamism to boss the game and the attacking trio was formed by Bernardeschi, Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The only goal in the first half happened in the 42nd minute, when Juventus were pushing their opponent into their own box and allowed Matthijs De Ligt to come upfront and in a good position to test his striking skills. The former Ajax defender had no second thoughts when he saw the ball bouncing in front of him and slammed it into the low corner to give his team the lead just before the break. From that point on, the Vecchia Signora were aware that if they kept their net intact in the second half, they would go to sleep as the Serie A 2019/20 champions.
And once again.. a harsh comeback!
Just seven minutes into the second half, Udinese managed to draw things level and basically brought Juventus back to earth. Without Bonucci on the pitch leading the Biaconeri's defense, it was somehow predictable that Udinese was going to have their chances to punish the Italian champions sooner or later. It was always going to be a matter of time until someone beat Szczesny and unfortunately for Juve, that happened quite early in the second half.
In the 52nd minute of the game, Ken Sema had no one around him to bother him when he decided to put in a perfect cross to the far post and his pass found Ilija Nestorovski completely unmarked and in great position to make Juve pay. The Macedonian for the ball and headed it into the back of the net to put Udinese back in the discussion of the 3 points.
With a 1-1 draw, Juventus knew they wouldn't be able to celebrate the Serie A title tonight and therefore, the Bianconeri kept pushing for another goal until the referee's final whistle. However, they wouldn't be the ones making the net waving for a third time on the night, as Udinese grabbed the winning goal deep inside added time, following a brilliant run by Seko Fofana. The Ivorian midfielder beat Danilo and De Ligt after picking up the ball in the halfway line, just before he finished it off in front of Szczesny to deliver Udinese a precious 2-1 win. Better luck for Juventus next time, as they'll be facing Sampdoria next Sunday!
