Juventus took another step forward in their title ambitions, after hosting and beating Lecce in Turin by 4-0. Cristiano Ronaldo scored again, as the Bianconeri also relied on Dybala, Higuaín and De Ligt goals to secure tonight's win.

Juventus are one step closer to the Serie A title, following tonight's 4-0 win over Lecce, in Turin. The Bianconeri disappointed in the first half and went into the half-time break with a scoreless draw, but made up for it in the second half, by crushing their opponents and scoring 4 goals without response. For those who believed in Juventus at half-time and placed an online bet on the Italian champions, their gamble certainly paid off. Dybala scored the opener when the hosts were already facing a 10-men side and was followed by Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuaín and De Ligt, as they all wrote their names on the scoresheet. It was far from being an impressive win, but for those who live in the US and that did bet online in New Jersey, they must have certainly felt relieved to see Juventus didn't slip tonight.

Not the best start to a game...

The first-half was disappointing in many different ways. Following Lazio's loss against Atalanta in the weekend, one would expect for Juventus to make a strong statement about their title run right from the start of the game. However, it was nothing like the first half turned out to be, as the Italian champions struggled to dominate and create scoring chances against their opponent and the only times they have actually threatened to score was when Lecce got reduced to 10 men, around the 31st minute of the first half.

Juve's starting lineup only changed slightly when compared to the players that had started in the last league match, against Bologna. Szczesny was the goalkeeper, but with De Sciglio injured and Danilo suspended after seeing a red card in the previous game, Sarri was forced to innovate in defense and played Matuidi as left-back, next to De Ligt, Bonucci and Cuadrado. In midfield, Rabiot, Pjanic and Bentancur helped completing the puzzle, supporting an attacking trio formed by Bernardeschi, Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The best chance to break the deadlock in the first half happened a few minutes after the Lucioni's red card, when Cristiano Ronaldo managed to escape his marking inside the box, just before a good cross came in. The Portuguese found himself completely free, but strangely missed the target and headed the ball above the crossbar. The two teams walked into the tunnel with a goalless draw on the scoreline, but things were about to change in the second half.

A different second half...

The second half was more in line with what the Bianconeri had in mind ahead of tonight's clash. Naturally, Lecce ended up adopting a more conservative stance after the break, hoping to frustrate the Italian champions for as most as possible. However, a great strike from Paulo Dybala in the 53rd minute broke the visitors' resistance and there was not much story to tell after that happened. The Argentine, who scored his 9th goal in the Serie A this season, was assisted by Cristiano Ronaldo...

With a 1-0 scoreline in favor of Juve, the hosts got a bit more comfortable in the game and eventually found a way to extend the lead. Nearly 10 minutes after Dybala's opener, Cristiano Ronaldo got tripped inside Lecce's box and the referee didn't hesitate in pointing to the spot. The Portuguese forward, who had already scored from the penalty mark in Juve's previous game against Bologna, converted his chance once more and gave the Bianconeri a feeling of relief. 2-0 for the Vecchia Signora and Ronaldo reached his 27th goal of the season for the club, his 23rd in the Serie A.

The 3-0 arrived in the 83rd minute, shortly after Gonzalo Higuaín had come in for Dybala. The former Real Madrid, Napoli and Chelsea forward picked up a pass from Ronaldo and finished it off with his left foot, scoring his 6th league goal of the season. One minute later, De Ligt completed the win for the Bianconeri by heading the ball into the back of the net from a very short range and setting the final score in 4-0 to Juventus.
