09.10.2019 » 4 lessons to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo number one

While we may not all admire Ronaldo the exact same way nor rate him the best player in the game, we all have plenty of life lessons to learn from him. The Portuguese superstar has gone through many ups and downs in life, but never really lost his focus in becoming what he is today...

If you're not familiar with Cristiano Ronaldo's name, you must be out of this world. Being regarded as the best player in the world and possibly the best footballer in the entire football history, Cristiano Ronaldo has a lot of lessons to share, directly and indirectly. He was born in 1985 and managed to win 29 trophies in his career: 6 league titles, 5 UEFA Champions League trophies, and 5 FIFA Balloon d'Or rewards (best player in the world award). As of this moment, Cristiano has scored more than 720 career goals for both his clubs and his country (Portugal). Cristiano Ronaldo (Ronaldo7) didn't have the easiest journey either. At 15 years old, he was diagnosed with racing heart and had to undergo surgery. Throughout his career, he has suffered plenty of serious injuries. Unlike other promising football players, that didn't hold him back from pursuing excellence and high achievements regardless of his circumstances. In today's post, we're going to talk about the most important life lessons that every one of us can learn from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo - Life lessons:

Be optimist

Cristiano must have understood that his thoughts and emotions are defining the quality of his life. Since the beginning of his career, he didn't complain about his problems and defects. He's one of the footballers and persons that prioritizes work, sacrifice, and consistency in order to compensate for any possible lack of talents.

If you've ever watched a Cristiano Ronaldo interview, I bet you haven't seen him crying or blaming someone else because of his failures. He keeps his head high and prioritizes positive thoughts.

If you want to succeed, you need to start working on your mindset. Your thoughts are shaping your reality because a thought leads to an emotion, and emotion leads to action.

Never stop learning

Every human has more basic needs. To survive, to have a shelter, to fit in, and so on. One of the most unacknowledged and underrated human needs is the need to grow.

Life is defined by growth. When you're born, you start learning immediately. When you go to school, you learn again. When you grow, you feel satisfied and happy. If you stay stuck, you'll experience the same feelings over and over again.

What Cristiano understood early is that he can never stop learning. Even though he was the best footballer in every team that he has played for, he stood humble and learned from every colleague and personal trainer that he met.

Stay Hungry for success

The more you want it, the faster you'll get it. If you have a high purpose, you're going to attract it every single day you work for it. This is the "Law of Attraction", which suggests that the more you think about something, the quicker that goal/object/person will come to you.

Well, the law of attraction is incomplete because it doesn't mention the fact that you have to WORK for everything you desire. Action is the single most important aspect of our life. When we act, we materialize thoughts and emotions.

Staying hungry for success is one of the best ways to get out of your comfort zone and accomplish great things. Cristiano's failures didn't make him quit. In fact, after losing important finals, he was even more motivated to get better and do more for his team.

Cristiano Ronaldo being humble in success

Self-Discipline is key

After he eats a meal, Cristiano immediately sets his body in motion to lose the fat that he has acquired. This is one of his "wow" habits that should help us understand the level of commitment and self-discipline that this amazing footballer presents. Because he aims high, he's willing to get uncomfortable regardless of the situation.

When I was in college, I was extremely lazy, even though I had big plans with my life. I used to pay my colleagues to do my homework, and I even use dissertation writing service to finish my final requirements.

When real life has begun, my lack of self-discipline almost put me on the streets. Believe it or not, Cristiano Ronaldo's attitude towards life motivated me to embrace self-discipline and consistency. Allow his success to inspire you to do the same!

Pursue a fit and healthy lifestyle

Ronaldo understood that the best fuel to success is a healthy lifestyle. He always kept his body and mind fit: no drugs, no alcohol, no abuse. He eats extremely healthy and takes care of his personal needs while pursuing professional excellence. In case you didn't know, Cristiano has a wife and four kids!

Takeaways

Ronaldo soccer jerseys are all over the place. If you're a social media user, TV watcher, or regular sports blogs reader, there's no way you didn't hear about Cristiano. Does everyone know about Cristiano Ronaldo's life, journey, challenges, setbacks? No. Those are not often displayed and talked about, even though they could be perceived as golden lessons.

If you're pursuing excellence, success, and fame, Cristiano Ronaldo can surely offer you the inspiration you need. If you're curious about the small details of his life, make sure you watch the Ronaldo movie!
