28.09.2019 » Juventus 2-0 SPAL. Ronaldo helps securing a comfortable win
It took Juventus six games in the Serie A to finally deliver their fans a comfortable win in the league, as they finally won a game with at least a 2-goal difference. The Bianconeri beat SPAL by 2-0, in a game where the hosts dominated the entire game and just didn't score more goals due to a superb performance from SPAL's goalkeeper, Etrit Berisha. The opener was scored just before the break and it was another beautiful strike from Miralem Pjanic. The Serbian has now scored 2 goals in his last 2 games for the Vecchia Signora. The second and final goal in this game would be scored by Cristiano Ronaldo, when the Portuguese forward headed in a great cross from Dybala on the left wing. Scoring goals for Ronaldo almost seem as easy as going to a casino to gamble and actually win money on push gaming slots. Now it's time to refocus in Europe, as Juve hosts Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday evening.

That's the Juve we want to see...
With one eye already on next week's Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen, Sarri introduced a few changes in his side, hoping to rotate a couple of his starters. The biggest changes were Alex Sandro being replaced by Matuidi on the left-back and Cuadrado coming in for Danilo on the right. As for the rest of the defense, Buffon played in goal and De Ligt played next to Bonucci in the centre.
In midfield Sarri played the same men that had already been on the pitch against Brescia in mid-week, with Khedira, Pjanic and Rabiot being tasked with connecting the team's game and dictating the pace of the game. A few meters ahead, only one change was brought on, as Cristiano Ronaldo returned to starting eleven in Gonzalo Higuaín's place, partnering up with Aaron Ramsey and Paulo Dybala.
The rotation didn't have a negative impact on the team's performance. Quite on the contrary actually, as the Italian champions had their best display of the season so far. Yes, it was SPAL on the other side of the barricade, but still, the attitude, the passing and the amount of chances creates have definitely pleased the former Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri.
Pjanic and Ronaldo secured the win
Juventus was calm and focused the whole 90 minutes this Saturday and when that happens, only a few teams in Italy can actually put them in trouble. One of the best surprises of the day was Paulo Dybala, who performed at a great level and will certainly make Sarri think twice about benching him in the upcoming games... The Argentine linked up with Ronaldo and Ramsey extremely well and was a constant threat to SPAL. If he manages to be regular with performances like these, he should finally become the key player this Juve teams craves for.
The deadlock was broken in the 45th minute of the first-half, when SPAL was already thinking they had managed to survive the first-half charge. A long cross from Matuidi forced Berisha to punch the ball to the outside of his box, but it would go straight to Khedira, who then immediately passed it to Pjanic. The Bosnian midfielder didn't lose time and immediately struck it hard and with great precision, scoring one of his best goals ever for Juventus. Terrific shot from the 29-year old...
The second half wasn't much difference from the first, as Juventus kept pushing and creating chances, but saw Berisha preventing further goals chance after chance. Eventually, the Italian champions would finally score their second goal and naturally, it would be Cristiano Ronaldo finding the back of the net. The Portuguese was on the right place inside the box to finish with a header a long cross from Dybala. The Argentine had a great run near the left sideline and his assist to Ronaldo was simply brilliant. As for CR7, it's his 3rd goal in the Serie A this season and hopefully he'll start scoring more regularly from now onwards...
