15.02.2019 » Juventus 3-0 Frosinone. Building confidence for the Atletico clash
Juventus anticipated their Serie A fixture this weekend in order to have more time to prepare their upcoming Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid and it looks like playing on a Friday had a positive effect in the Bianconeri. The Italian champions made easy work of Frosinone in a 3-0 win at the Allianz Stadium and sent the visitors back home resigned with the result. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 19th goal in the league, assisted Dybala for the opener and still saw Bonucci scoring his first goal of the season in the 17th minute. The Portuguese striker would be replaced right after his goal in 63rd minute, as Allegri hopes to keep his star player fully fit for big game in Spain against Atletico Madrid, next Wednesday night.

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Frosinone:
One eye in Turin, the other in Madrid
This is starting to look the Juventus that sparked fears across Europe in the beginning of the season and that some of the best betting sites in the UK considered favorites to win the Champions League at the end of the season: extremely solid at the back and lethal in front. Massimiliano Allegri's pupils ran over Frosinone in an easy 3-0 win and increased their lead over Napoli to 14 points, even though their league rivals will only play their game this Sunday night.
And there's no way to hide it... Juventus's main objective this season is to win the UEFA Champions League and they're going to bet all chips in their upcoming games against a very strong Atletico Madrid side. One advantage they'll have straight away is the fact that they'll be able to rest more time than the Colchoneros, who still have to play an away fixture this Saturday evening in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano.
Tonight, Frosinone was just too weak to create any difficulties to the Vecchia Signora. They're one of the worst teams in the league and it won't be a surprise to anyone if they end up getting relegated in May, when the Serie A season comes to an end. Juventus scored their first two goals inside the first 20 minutes and in some way that also helped the hosts to manage the game in a different way, including subbing off Ronaldo in the second half.
A routine win
We're now entering the decisive stage of the season and Allegri will be extremelly happy to know he has all his attacking players fit for the games ahead. It's been notorious that Ronaldo developped a great connection upfront with both Mandzukic and Dybala, and for the first time since December 2018, the trio was able to start again a game for Juventus.
The first goal tonight was delivered by Dybala and it was an absolute screamer. The Argentine picked up a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo, got himself in a central position just outside the box and threw a rocket straight into the top corner to make it 1-0 for Juventus. Definitely Dybala's best goal this season!
The second goal came from a corner-kick on the right and a long cross sent into the far post. Mario Mandzukic answered with a good header, but saw his shot blocked by the goalkeeper and the ball rebounding to an area where both Bonucci and Khedira were waiting. The former AC Milan player reacted faster and tapped it in, scoring his first goal for Juventus this year.
The game wouldn't be over without Cristiano Ronaldo also writing his name on the scoresheet, which allowed him to celebrate his 19th goal in the league and his 21st in all competitions for Juventus. In one of his strongest movements inside the box, the former Manchester United player anticipated a low cross and finished it off with a strong and well-placed strike that sealed the deal for Juventus with a 3-0 victory. He would then be replaced with Bernardeschi, as everyone switched their focus to the next game against Atletico Madrid.
