15.12.2018 » Torino 0-1 Juventus. Ronaldo delivers a hard-fought win in the derby!
The "Derby di Torino" went down this Saturday evening in Italy, with the two major sides from the city clashing head to head for the first time since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived to Italy. And what better way for the former Real Madrid superstar to mark the occasion than scoring the winning goal in what ended up being a very difficult game for the Italian champions? Ronaldo converted a penalty-kick in the 70th minute and Juventus beat Torino 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. Ronaldo has now 11 goals in the Serie A and Juventus will sleep tonight with an 11-point advantage over Napoli, who only plays this Sunday in Cagliari.

All Cristiano Ronaldo actions vs Torino:
A battle worth of a derby
The Turin derby turned out to be one of the most difficult games for Juventus so far this season, but despite the challenges they still found a way to be victorious and left their rival's home with the much wanted 3 points.
Today it was a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty that sealed the match for Juve, which allows him to reach once again Piatek on the top of the Serie A goalscorer standings, with both players now recording 11 goals each so far.
Torino played their hearts out today and would be disappointed with the lack of points gained, yet, they never really looked close to scoring. It's a credit to this Juventus side this season, they have been so solid all over the pitch, especially in defense, that even on a day when their performance is less than sparkling, they can still get a result.
Juventus were able to pull it off
Where the issues lie, if any, are in attack. Ronaldo has been brilliant, but he's also found himself as the lone creative force on too many occasions. Juventus have also found it difficult to provide good service to the forward this season. While Ronaldo has played well, he will only truly be unlocked with better service.
Today Ronaldo did net the penalty, but it wasn't a good match for him, after his lackluster performance in the midweek vs Young Boys, it may be time for a bit of a rest for the Portuguese star.
Emre Can was also poor today for Juventus and their midfield overall were not able to impose themselves on the game.
There have been so many positives for Juventus this season, but you do see certain cracks in the perfect sculpture. Juventus are able to get results repeatedly, but they need to start putting games away because in Europe better teams will take an advantage. That said, an away win in the derby is always welcome.
