10.11.2012 » Javier Pastore: "It would be great to have Cristiano Ronaldo in PSG"
PSG midfielder Javier Pastore, has recently praised Cristiano Ronaldo and revealed that he would be thrilled if the Portuguese forward ended up playing for the French capital club. In a talk with the popular sports newspaper "L'equipe", the 23-years old Argentinian didn't appear to fear the competition for a spot in PSG's line-up if Ronaldo was brought in and believes that such scenario would simply allow for the club to benefit transversely. However, chances for Ronaldo to actually end up in PSG during the upcoming transfer season seem very narrow at this stage, despite the Real Madrid star has recently admitted that he felt flattered for knowing that clubs such as PSG or Manchester City could be interested in signing him.
Javier Pastore - Brilliance in PSG's midfield:
This season, Pastore has made 16 appearances for PSG, from which he scored in 3 different occasions and obtained 3 assists for his teammates. PSG is currently leading the French League "Ligue 1", with the same amount of points of Olympique Marseille (22 points), but having played one additional game than their rivals. In the Champions League, Pastore, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company seem to be on the right track to get through to the last-16 stage, as they have already earned 9 points out of a possible of 12, granting them safety at the 2nd place, at least for now, still two fixtures away from the end of the group stages.

The PSG midfielder has arrived to Europe back in 2009, where he had a short but succesful experience at Palermo, scoring a total of 17 goals in only 2 seasons. Last season, Pastore moved to PSG and became one of the key elements at the revolution being made in the French capital club. The objective is to turn PSG into one of the strongest teams in Europe, capable of dominating French football in the years to come and also be seen as a serious contender to eventually win the UEFA Champions League.
Javier Pastore: "Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the World. He scores so many goals on a regular basis and he's obviously capable of making the difference when it most matters, thanks to his individual actions. If Ronaldo would sign for PSG, it would definitely be fantastic for the club and for the players who are already here!", pointed out the talented Argentinian. These statements praising Ronaldo can be regarded as a bit surprising, especially after Pastore has also expressed in a recent past that he would vote on Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta over CR7, for the "Best Player in the World" award.
With PSG and Real Madrid trying to secure a spot at the knock-out rounds of the UEFA Champioms League, there's still a valid possibility that we may actually see a clash between the two teams in the upcoming months. Until then, it doesn't really seem like Ronaldo is preparing any shocking move to PSG or any other club waving with a higher paycheck than what he receives at Madrid. He's head is at the Merengues objectives for this season, which include winning La Liga once more and clinching the 10th UEFA Champions League in the club's history.
